Our Boats Each trip is taken by one of our experienced skippers; Colin on the Ronnoch Mor and Karl on The Iolaire. The Ronnoch Mor ... meaning King Mackerel in Gaelic, is a 35ft purpose built fibreglass fishing vessel; licensed to carry 28 passengers and two members of crew; with toilet on board. Spacious, strong and sturdy and with a great turn of speed, The Ronnoch Mor is perfect for fishing in all weather, rain or shine! The Iolaire ... meaning Golden Eagle in Scottish, is a 36ft purpose built traditional fishing boat, licensed to carry 28 passengers and two members of crew. One of the most beautiful boats in the harbour, The Iolaire was skilfully hand crafted from oak and larch in Kirkudbright, Scotland. A wonderful sea boat, she’s a pleasure to sail on! Safety at Sea All our passenger vessels operate under strict licensing regulations through the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (M.C.A.). A full inventory of safety equipment is carried on board. All of our crew are fully qualified and a Domestic Safety Management System is in place on each vessel.
