Plymouth is one of the best fishing ports in the UK, if not in Europe. We're lucky to have the deep waters of the English Channel only a 35 minute sailing from our doorstep.
Departing from Plymouth's famous Barbican we proceed across the historic Plymouth Sound, flanked by the beautiful Devon & Cornish coasts. On passing the spectacular breakwater we make for the plankton-rich deep waters where the mackerel & bigger species await!
3hr General Fishing Trip
Jigging for the hard fighting mackerel is great fun for everyone from beginners to seasoned anglers. The main target species is the mackerel, however we catch lots of different species throughout the year including; herring, whiting, gurnard, cod, dog fish and more.
Prices: £25 or Spectator £12.50
Times: 10am - 1pm or 1pm - 4pm
4hr Deep Sea Trip
After catching enough mackerel and bait for yourselves we make for one of the reefs or wrecks in the area. Larger species are encountered like whiting, pollock, pouting, ling and the infamous conger eel!
Prices: £30 or Spectator £15
Times: 9am - 1pm or 1pm - 5pm
Conservation is at the core of our philosophy - we only harvest enough fish to satisfy your needs, the rest are released to fight another day.
All of our trips offer the opportunity to see some of our wonderfully diverse local wildlife. We’ve seen seabirds, sunfish, minke whales, basking sharks, dolphins and leatherback turtles! Although all our trips are weather dependant, it is very rare that a fishing trip is cancelled; if the weather is poor there are plenty great fishing spots in the shelter of the Plymouth Sound. We are happy to offer longer private hire trips up to a maximum of 6 hours. We don't operate trips for less than 3 hours due to travelling time to the fishing grounds
